Printmaking has not only introduced me to some of the most interesting couragous artists, it has helped me to open up my creative world to techniques and results I would not have acheived otherwise.  I studied Fine Arts at Bucks County Community College with an emphasis on Printmaking.  Inspired printmaking requires ongoing learning and diligent attention to changing techniques. Recently I had the privilege of participating in two workshops in non-toxic monotypes led by distinguished printmaker Ron Prokrasso.  I studied with Master Printmaker Susan Rostow, founder of Akua Kolor Professional Inks creating  monotypes  and Dan Weldon using polymer copper plates for intaglio printmaking.  I have worked closed with Master Printmaker
Sheila Goloborotka.

Woodcut, monotype and collagraph methods of printmaking have always been my main creative tools.  They are non-toxic and are highy compatible with water based inks and I am sensitive to how we treat our envirnment.  In 2014 I was asked to fill in for someone at the Arts Council of Princeton to teach an Eco-Printing week long camp.  After having fallen in love with this process my daughter Cristin Riccardo and I now offer our fiber art for purchase and workshops in the area.

I created my pulp sprayed paper is made by splattering wet colored pulp onto a sub-structure with an air compressor attached to a hopper designed for plaster.  Many layers are built up - then stencils and manipulated spraying techniques  are used to create the forms and detail.  My western and eastern handmade paper images and colors are developed using pulp painting, silk screen pulp stencils, embedded found object inclusions, and other techniques.  I use the paper in my printmaking, book arts, note cards or as finished art.
